Benefits

This benefits page is designed to provide an overview of the many Health & Welfare, Retirement, Paid Time off and Work/Life Benefits that are provided to FEDITC employees. More information is provided at the time you are hired.

Health and Welfare
All Regular Full Time employees who regularly work at least 30 hours per week are eligible to receive Health & Welfare Benefits to include Medical, Dental, Vision, Life and Disability Insurance, as well as utilization of the Employee Assistance Program and Consumer Savings Accounts. Prescription Drugs are covered under all medical plans offered. Eligibility begins on the first of the month following date of hire.
Flexible Spending Account (FSA)
A health care Flexible Spending Account allows employees to pay for qualified medical expenses with pre-tax dollars. Allowed expenses include medical co-payments, coinsurance, prescriptions, deductibles, some over the counter medicines and certain dental, hearing and vision costs.
Dependent Care Reimbursement Program
A dependent care Flexible Spending Account allows you to save money, on a pre-tax basis, to pay for your dependent care up to the amount set by the IRS every tax year.
Group Term Life Insurance
FEDITC provides Term Life Insurance an AD&D Insurance at no cost to employees. The amount of coverage equals 1x employee's annual base salary up to a maximum of $50,000.
Supplemental Life and AD&D Insurance
Supplemental life insurance benefits are also available for employees and their eligible dependents. Employees may purchase up to 5x their annual base salary not to exceed $500,000 for themselves. Spousal elections are available in increments of $5,000 up to a maximum of 50% of the employee's election. Up to $10,000 of coverage is available for each eligible child up to age 19 (or 25 if full-time student). One premium amount covers all eligible children.
Short Term Disability
In the event an employee becomes injured from a non work-related injury or sickness, eligible employees can enroll in weekly disability income benefits and receive up to 60% of their weekly pay up to $693 per week as a tax free source of income for up to 11 weeks. FEDITC contributes 50% of the premium for those employees that enroll in the benefit. Employees are not eligible to receive short-term disability benefits in conjunction with workers' compensation benefits.
Long Term Disability
In the event an employee becomes disabled due to a non-work related injury or illness, eligible employees can enroll in monthly disability income benefits and receive up to 60% of their monthly pay up to $3,000 per month as a tax free source of income. Benefits terminated at Social Security Normal Retirement Age.
Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
FEDITC recognizes that personal problems can have an impact on an employee's effectiveness at work. The company provides an EAP, which makes professional counseling services available to its employees. The EAP provides confidential support, guidance and resources for marital and family problems, alcohol and drug dependency, financial issues, legal issues, and other work/life services.
Life Discount Program
FEDITC encourages employees to prepare for all possible life situations and provides a discount program that assists with resources related to will preparation, identity theft, beneficiary services and other life related resources.
Emergency Travel Program
From a simple weather forecast to emergency medical assistance halfway around the world, FEDITC offers a program that includes travel, medical and safety-related services while traveling more than 100 miles from home (personal or professional).
401(k) Retirement Plan
All eligible employees may elect to participate in the 401(k) plan shortly after their date of hire. Salaried employees who participate in the 401(k) plan are eligible for a company match up to 4% after 1 year of employment. Participants may contribute a set dollar amount or percentage of base pay on a pre-tax basis, subject to federal limits.
Paid Time Off (PTO)
All regular full time employees are eligible for 17 days of PTO at the start of employment. PTO is accrued on a semi-monthly basis and employees can begin using accrued time off after completion of the first 90 days of employment. The accrual schedule is adjusted in accordance to policy and is based on years of service.
Paid Holidays
FEDITC offers 10 paid holidays per calendar year to all regular full time employees. Covered holidays include: New Year's Day, Martin Luther King Day, President's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veteran's Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.
Training Assistance
FEDITC encourages personal and professional development and offers a training reimbursement plan for eligible employees that desire to grow in their profession.
